Roger Gracie Returns To Gi Competition In July Vs Comprido

Ok guys now it’s official, I’m fighting Rodrigo Comprido at the American Nationals during the UFC expo in Las Vegas July the 10th or the 11th. It’s a 10 min match. It has been a long time since I fought with the gi and I’m really looking forward to it. Let’s go! – Roger Gracie

Roger Gracie is widely considered the greatest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion of all time.

In 2005 Roger competed in the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship and won all 8 of his matches both at the super heavyweight and absolute weight classes by submission. In the 2009 Mundials he submitted all of his opponents in the super heavyweight and the absolute weight classes with a choke from the mount. Roger has not been submitted in competition since he was a blue belt. Gracie has 10 wins at the IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championships as a black belt, with three of those victories in Open Weight competition (source Wikipedia).

Can’t wait for July!
