Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an historical example of engineered legend. Why were there no Olympic level Judo players in the first UFC? Why was Royce Gracie fighting instead of Rickson Gracie? Was Helio Gracie truly undefeated? You’ll find the answers in this video featuring Dr Jared Miracle, researcher and author of “Now with Kung-Fu Grip!”.

Manufactured or not, UFC #1 was a fantastical event that changed the world. It was a striker’s world when along came Royce Gracie to show how superior grappling was. The above author asks why there were no Olympic level athletes on the card. Royce Gracie was no Olympian! The object was to show that BJJ was not only the most effective fighting art for the average person on the street, but also worked against practitioners of other martial arts.

UFC #1 without a doubt, changed the world. If you are reading this and have never seen it you should watch it because it has changed your life too.
